It's a video call on Google Meet, and we'd love your camera on. A good chunk of this job isn't technical. You're a guest in somebody's home, usually helping a person who feels behind or a bit embarrassed about what they can't work out, so patience and a kind manner count for as much as knowing the fix. A proper back-and-forth is the best way for both of us to tell whether that side of the work suits you. Nothing to install: the link in your confirmation opens in a browser, or in the Google Meet app on a phone.
